Asked about the time he considered retiring but ultimately decided to keep playing, James said, "Because I felt like I still had gas in the tank. I was really exhausted in May, and I didn't think I could play anymore. That's why the comments about considering retirement at the time, that's how I felt at the time."

"I'm happy to be back for another season and hope to lead the team to the results we promised."

And talking about the possibility of playing in the Paris Olympics, James said, "I do have an interest in representing the U.S. Men's Basketball team in the Olympics, and I don't think it would be much of a physical burden. I think when I don't have to do too much, grab a few rebounds, pass the ball a few times, do a good job on defense, cover a few caps on the line."

There is news that Durant, Curry and James are likely to play together in next year's Paris Olympics.
